The Master Heart Symbol
We have chosen the heart as the primary element in our logo as it has been used for centuries to symbolizes Love on all levels; physical, mental, spiritual and emotional. We are Love and Love simply is.
The Tai Chi
Yin and Yang are two facets of the whole, which are expressed in the Tai Chi Symbol.
This perfectly symmetrical fluid design symbolizes the balance of opposites. The Tai Chi demonstrates the reciprocal relationship of Yin and Yang as it contains contrasting yet complimentary aspects. BLACK represents Yin, while WHITE represents Yang. A seed of Yin resides in the Yang and vice versa, signifying that there are no absolutes within Yin and Yang.
The circle was not designed as two equal halves cut across the diameter because Yin and Yang's cyclical nature means it is ever evolving.
The Fibonacci Symbol
This spiral is known as the Fibonacci Spiral, Divine Ratio and the Golden Mean.
The Fibonacci (Fiba-na-chee) Spiral is a reflection of who we are. The ratio used to create it, is everywhere and is reflected in the proportions of everything. Nature relies on this innate proportion to maintain BALANCE and this phenomenon brought Euclid, a mathematician from 300 B.C. to the conclusion that this ratio is Divine.
The first two numbers in this Divine ratio, called the Fibonacci Sequence are 0 and 1.
Each number following is the sum of the previous two.
0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21 etc.
0 + 1 = 1, 1+1=2, 1 + 2 = 3, 2 + 3 = 5, 3 + 5 = 8, 5 + 8 = 13, 8 + 13 = 21 etc.
Naturally occurring in all of life forms this number is responsible for creating symmetry and BALANCE. Many trees reflect the Fibonacci pattern in the growth of their leaves spiralling up the stem, with a new leaf growing only after the one preceding is formed. You'll also see this formation clearly in Sunflowers, Pineapples, Nautilus Seashell and Pinecones.
Our bodies also incorporate the Fibonacci Sequence! Most of our body parts follow the numbers one, two, three and five i.e. one nose, two eyes, three segments to each limb, five fingers on each hand etc. Additionally the measurements and proportions of the body can be divided up in terms of this Divine ratio.
Master Heart Magazine was created using Feng Shui principles which revolve around the theory of BALANCED energy. When this ratio is consciously applied it adds BALANCE to the Yin and Yang energy of your life, home and landscape.
